Blue Dasher Wing Detail

The Blue Dashers are beginning to show up in numbers at the pond. Usually you see the males, females make brief appearances and then chase emm DO f/4 IS stabilized lens with a 25mm extension tube, then a Canon Series III 1.4X Teleconverter, then a 20mm extension tube. This combination, in this order gives you the ability to focus closer, than just using a lens with a teleconverter, then an extension tube. I used a flash with a Better Beamer Flash Extender to be the main light and the ambient light more as a fill light, but kept the background a little darker so the Dasher details stood out. I liked the detail of the wing roots and patterns in the wing.
