The full moon this weekend will be extra large due to it proximity to the Earth. It is the first Super Moon of the year. The largest one will occur in August. The moon will peak around Saturday and will appear bigger and brighter than a normal full moon as it hits its closest point to Earth. The next Super Moon will be August 10th and September 9th. Here in New Jersey there was heavy cloud cover, but we had a slight break for a few minutes before the clouds rolled in again. I managed to get a few quick shots and then it was over. I will have to wait till August & September.
