I found this Roseate Skimmer in the dried grass at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge by the water. There were large amounts of Dragonflies all around Blackwater, with many types present buzzing by. Many of the really large dragonflies just cruised by so quickly you only could get a brief glimpse of them, but it was still fun to see and watch them. This Skimmer was constantly taking off grabbing bugs and landing on the same dried grass. The Summer is starting to wind down and many of the dragonflies are beginning to show signs of wear, especially in their wings.
