If you get to Brigantine early in the morning before sunrise there is a good chance you will see large amounts of birds leaving their roosts from the night, flying across colorful skies. In the past I have seen everything from varieties of hawks & eagles, Night Herons, shore birds, but mostly I see Great Egrets in large numbers flying out, some in large groups. Also they fly a little slower, so in low light conditions, you have a better chance of getting images without motion blur in the early morning light. I like the dark shapes of the birds offset by the colorful skies which add a sense of drama to the shots.
Stunning
Thanks! It is fun to see them flying out in waves against the colorful sky. Depending on the day, you never know what will fly by for you to see.
Very nice.
