This Delmarva Fox Squirrel was eating nuts along the Wildlife Drive at the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in Maryland. This is one location you can usually find the endangered Delmarva Fox Squirrel. They are usually only found in a few counties in Maryland. They are definitely cuter looking & acting than the standard gray squirrel. They are fluffier and have a very long tail. One of 10 recognized subspecies of fox squirrels, which are the largest tree squirrels in the western hemisphere.
