We went to Davidsons Mill Pond Park to photograph the Fall colors. I was only using my Canon R with a 24-105mm lens & my iPhone 11 Pro. All panorama images here are with the 24-105mm @ various focal lengths. I purposely made a series of panoramas at different focal lengths (as listed below images) and different numbers of images per panorama. I was trying to show how sometimes it is better to use more images per panorama in the beginning & once you get used to doing them you can use less images and still get the image that you wanted. Also by shooting more images than you need, you get used to how the process works and get the feel for how many you will need in the future. In Photoshop you just load all images into one layered Photoshop file. Select layers and chose Auto-Align, then Auto-Blend. Comes in handy for the times you want a wider image or taller image and have the wrong lens to accomplish your vision. If needed I can post a more step by step process blog.
Small Pond Fall Images

Still working on images from our walks at the Davidson’s Mill Pond Park. I liked the colors in the water with the Fall colored subdued trees behind the pond. The featured image was shot @ 14mm on a m43 format camera. The blue sky seemed to really reflect in the pond water setting off the floating fallen leaves. Then I tried 2 additional shots, one @ 41mm and then one @ 32mm. I liked the wider view “featured” image best of the 3. But sometimes you don’t know until you compare them all at once and then you can see which you like best.
Sun Starburst Through The Leaves In The Woods.

I liked the yellow color of the leaves that were backlit from the sun shining through them. I shot at f/16 to help get a starburst with the sun shining through the leaves for the featured image. This was near the end of one of the paths through the woods at the Park.

Duck Box In Fall Vertical Panorama

Sometimes when it is a quiet day where I am photographing I try different techniques just for the fun of it and to see how it comes out. I liked the Duck Box off in the distance with the fall colors and the browning grasses on the shoreline. I shot 7 horizontal shots going from the water to the sky. Loaded all the layers into Photoshop and then did an auto align, then an auto blend. I guess I see it as a challenge plus gives me practice for when I really need to use this technique.
Different Colors With Fall Leaves

When walking around looking for leaf abstracts or still life subjects, I sometimes look for colors, shapes or textures that stand out from the usual Fall color images. Sometimes they are subtle in shapes or colors.
