One of my favorite places to photograph is Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. It is a Great place for Landscapes, Sunsets, Wildlife, Eagles, and Multi-Image Landscape Panoramas. The Image here was from a trip to Blackwater NWR years ago. I was using a Panasonic GH2 with a 14-140mm @ 14 mm. Five image handheld Stacked Panorama. Aligned & blended in Photoshop.

An early morning Sunrise Panorama from the Brigantine Division of the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge in Oceanville, New Jersey. We had gotten there early to capture the sunrise. 8 Images taken years ago with a Canon 1D mk III with a 17-40mm @ 40mm. Aligned & blended in Photoshop.
Panoramas From Davidsons Mill Pond Park & Plainsboro Preserve

I have been upgrading computer systems and added a new amazing Mac laptop for a more mobile use. I was amazed that the panoramas in this post only took 6 to 10 seconds to align and blend for the Multi-Image panorama. I was using an Olympus OM-1 with a Panasonic 100-300mm lens @100mm and 300mm.. The Featured image is a 20 Image Pano.
Impressive Cloud Formations @ Davidson’s Mill Pond Park

A few weeks ago we went to Davidson’s Mill Pond Park to take a walk through the woods. On the way to the path going through woods we noticed the cloud formations were very large & impressive. So I shot a series of multi-image cloud panoramas and some single image cloud views with my OM-D Mk1 with a 7.5mm Fisheye lens. Even with a 7.5mm Fisheye lens with a FOV 180 degrees I had to shoot multiple image panoramas to get the cloud formations in the shots. Because I was using a FishEye lens I had to de-fish the images with the Adaptive Wide Angle Filter in Photoshop before being able to blend the images for the panoramas. The Featured Image was a 3 Image Panorama taken with the OM-D 1 with the 7.5mm lens.
Hole In The Clouds

As we were taking a walk in our community I noticed the dense clouds above us. In one area of the thick cloud cover there was a circular opening in the Dark Cloud cover. I thought it looked interesting so I took a series of images with my iPhone 11 Pro. The Featured Image was taken with the 6mm lens with a digital zoom added (216 percent) for a Full Frame Equivalent Image taken @ 111 mm. Usually I do not use the digital zoom feature on the iPhone, but wanted a full image featuring the “Hole”. I did not take out the “Noise” in the Featured Image since I thought it added some to the “Dark Mood” of the image. I then shot a 2 image vertical panorama to get more of the clouds above since below would have some buildings that I did not want. Then I backed off and shot a series of wider views of the Dark Clouds.
A Walk At Plainsboro Preserve

It was a nice sunny day yesterday so we ventured out to take a walk at the Audubon Plainsboro Preserve near us. It is 1,000 acres with with diverse habitats and wildlife & one of the largest lakes in the area, Lake McCormack. We concentrated walking on the White Trail straightaway because of the nest building of Canada Geese further down the path. We heard & saw the Canada Geese attacking walkers getting too close to their nesting areas. The Featured Image of Lake McCormack is a 12 image Panorama taken @ 14mm with an Olympus OMD & blended together in Photoshop.
Bombay Hook NWR Cloudscape Panorama

I was cleaning up backup Drives and found this panorama taken years ago at the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge in Delaware. The panorama is made with 6 handheld horizontal images taken with a Canon 1D mkIII with a 24-105mm lens @24mm. Images were aligned & blended in Photoshop. I had previously posted a narrower 4 image version of this years ago, but liked this longer version I found and blended to show more of the landscape on the edges. This image was taken by one of the fields near the entrance to the Refuge. Once in the refuge the clouds were great also as we were traveling the Wildlife Drive.
Brigantine Multi-Image Panoramas, Set 1

On our visit to the Brigantine Division of the Edwin B. Forsythe NWR I was using a variety of cameras to make a series of multi-image panoramas. I shot a lot of images so I would have a “library” of images to use for posting here during the Winter months. I was using the following cameras – Canon R with a 150-600mm lens, Panasonic LX-1 Pocket Camera in 16×9 format, OM-D 1 Olympus with a 7.5mm Fisheye lens and a iPhone 11 Pro. For this post all images were with the iPhone 11 Pro with mostly the 1.5mm lens (Full Frame Field of View Equivalent ~ 13mm) & the 4.3mm lens (Full Frame Field of View Equivalent ~ 26mm). The Featured Image was taken early in the am before the Wildlife Drive got crowded. I used my iPhone 11 with the 4.3mm lens to take a series of 12 overlapping images for the panorama image.
Pine cones – 40 Image Panorama

Here in New Jersey we got about 9 inches of snow from the Snow Storm over the weekend. I was looking at the neighbor’s Pine Tree across from us and thought it looked interesting. So I got a camera and was going to photograph some snow covered Pinecones. But then I thought it would make an interesting Multi-image, Multi-row Panorama. The Featured image is a series of 40 handheld images shot with a 150mm macro lens on a Canon R.

Additional Panorama Images from the 7 Lakes Drive in Harriman State Park. Most images were taken with a Canon 24-105mm lens with a Canon 1D mkIV. The last image was taken with a Panasonic GH2 m43 format camera with a 14-140mm lens. The Featured Image is made from 2- handheld 24mm horizontal images blended in Photoshop for a taller image to get a little more sky & foreground.
