On the spur of the moment we decided to take a photo trip to the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in Cambridge, Maryland. I decided to travel light and only took a Canon 7D with a Tamron 150-600mm lens with a 1.4x & 2x Teleconverter. The 7D with a 1.6X crop sensor and a 2x Teleconverter gave me a focal length of ~1920mm which came in handy because of the far distance of my photo subjects. Many of my photo subjects were out in the water or across the water in the trees where I could not get closer to the subject.
