Being retired now I have time to post images that I did have time to Post while I was working. This is another 2 image landscape panorama shot handheld. I was using a Panasonic GH2 with a 14-140mm lens @ 14mm. Full Frame Camera equivalent would be a 28mm lens.

One of my favorite places to photograph is Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. It is a Great place for Landscapes, Sunsets, Wildlife, Eagles, and Multi-Image Landscape Panoramas. The Image here was from a trip to Blackwater NWR years ago. I was using a Panasonic GH2 with a 14-140mm @ 14 mm. Five image handheld Stacked Panorama. Aligned & blended in Photoshop.

I was working on images from a visit to Davidsons Mill Pond Park and thought I would make some Multi-Image Panoramas. As I was working on them I thought they would look interesting as B&W InfraRed Images. I have a couple of Photoshop actions & software to mimic Infrared Images so I gave it a try. These were done in Photoshop after I made the main 5 image Color Panorama. The Featured Image is the version I liked best.

We have quite a few farms where we live now and it is fun to see fields of corn, cows, pigs and other farming activities. Which is strange because there is also lots of corporate buildings and retirement villages also. But it fun to see the mix of all of these together. There is one farm we pass as we are going to a local Preserve to photograph landscapes, dragonflies and birds with a display of tractors on their front lawn. These images were taken with a 14-140mm lens on a Panasonic m43 GH2 @ 140mm. (Full Frame Camera Equivalent 280mm). For this series I used PhotoShop for the Panoramas because I did not want to go uninvited on their Property.

We went to the Plainsboro Preserve a few days ago to get a nice walk and to see if there were some interesting views of McCormack Lake or the Wooded Areas along the trail before the leaves come out and hide the views from the White Trail. I was traveling light with just my Olympus OM-D E-Mk1 with a Panasonic 14-140mm lens to photograph some handheld multi-image panoramas (assembled in Photoshop). Most of the panoramas were taken @ 14mm. The Featured Image is a 9 image panorama @ 14mm. This Post is mainly panorama views with Lake McCormack through the trees bordering Lake McCormack.

It was a nice sunny day yesterday so we ventured out to take a walk at the Audubon Plainsboro Preserve near us. It is 1,000 acres with with diverse habitats and wildlife & one of the largest lakes in the area, Lake McCormack. We concentrated walking on the White Trail straightaway because of the nest building of Canada Geese further down the path. We heard & saw the Canada Geese attacking walkers getting too close to their nesting areas. The Featured Image of Lake McCormack is a 12 image Panorama taken @ 14mm with an Olympus OMD & blended together in Photoshop.

Additional Panorama Images from the 7 Lakes Drive in Harriman State Park. Most images were taken with a Canon 24-105mm lens with a Canon 1D mkIV. The last image was taken with a Panasonic GH2 m43 format camera with a 14-140mm lens. The Featured Image is made from 2- handheld 24mm horizontal images blended in Photoshop for a taller image to get a little more sky & foreground.

On a trip a few years ago to the Brigantine Division of the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife I noticed this flock of Snow Geese flying high above me. I took a couple of images but because the Geese were so high above me it did not look that interesting. Then I decided to shoot a quick 2 image series for a panorama to show a wider view of the flock of Snow Geese flying in the interesting clouds above. I was using an Olympus OMD 1 with a 14-140mm lens @ 14mm. The panorama was assembled in Photoshop, letting Photoshop align & blend the Panorama.

Another handheld panorama from Davidsons Mill Pond Park. I liked the reflections of the clouds in the pond and on this visit the sky and clouds were great. It seemed to add more “depth” to the water in the foreground. This was a simple 2 horizontal images pano, shot with an Olympus OMD-1 with a 14-140mm lens @ 14mm. The 2 images were loaded into one layered Photoshop file. Then I used Photoshop to Align & then Blend the layers for the final panorama image. I usually keep the layered PSD file also in case I want to tweak something later. Then I flatten the image and rename it for the final Image version. I do not use some of the stand alone specialized Panorama programs since Photoshop does such a good job with panoramas, even Panoramas that are stacked rows of multi-images, such as 8 images wide x 10 images high (80 images). It might take a while for Photoshop to churn it out. But that depends on your computer and how much Ram it has.

I was working on files from previous photo trips. Now that I am retired I can go through my backup drives to post images that I did not have time to post before. This is a Sunset taken at the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in Maryland a few years ago. Dramatic or interesting sunsets are quite often seen at Blackwater NWR. Some have told me that dramatic sunsets at Blackwater are because it is somewhat close to the coast. I am not sure on that, but Blackwater NWR does deliver on interesting sunrises & sunsets! Image taken with a 14-140mm lens @ 48mm on an Olympus body. I was going retouch out the aircraft contrails, but decided to leave them in.
