We had an unusual visitor to our bird feeders for a couple of days. It was fun to see this Cape May Warbler coming to the feeders. The warbler only was here this one day, but was fun to see a different bird instead of the usual birds at the feeders.
What a wonderful visitor – the Cape May is one of my favorite warblers. Missed getting it checked off last year, but hoping I will get a chance to enjoy it in the coming migration.
Yes, we never had one visit our feeders before! So it was a treat that it stayed around for quite a while that day! It was here for just that day so we guess it was just passing through!
Hi, I had no idea that Warblers would come to a bird feeder.
I live in the Princeton area. It’s a long drive to Cape May but I want to make sure I can photograph the Warblers during their spring migration. Is this part of April a good time for weekend visits or shall I wait until May?
Hi!! This Warbler was only at our feeder this one day. So I think it was just passing through. I would think waiting till May would give you more chances to photograph the birds.
Gorgeous shot! What a beautiful surprise treat.
Thanks so much! It was fun to see a different bird using our feeder!

After I posed that comment, I went to Institute Woods in Princeton where I photographed Yellow-rumped warbler (Setophaga coronata). I even found them in my back yard (Rocky Hill).
Wow! That is Great! We never went to Institute Woods, but passed by going to medical appointments!
